Nic gets crafty ~ crafts you can do with/for the kiddos!

Here is the first post from Nic, The Craft Queen.

Homemade Bath Paint:

1/3 Cup of Children's Shampoo or Baby Shampoo
1 Tablespoon of Corn Starch
Food Coloring
(I used very little food coloring, just enough to get some color.)
*Mix together and get to painting!

Homemade Sidewalk Chalk:

You will need:
Plaster of Paris
Food Coloring
Silicon candy/cupcake mold (use one that you will not use again for food)

Mix 2 parts Plaster with 1 part Water...Depending on the brand of plaster you get you may need to work fast before it sets.  Next add your food coloring and pour into molds.  Once it's dry, remove from mold and let your child's  artistic juices flow :)

This would make a great gift to give to classmates, friends, birthday parties, or as holiday gifts.

Homemade Kool Aid Play dough Recipe

1 Cup of Flour
1/2 Cup of Salt
3 Teaspoons of Oil
1 small package of Kool Aid (pick a color that you would want your play dough to be)
I cup of Boiling Water
Wax Paper

Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl
Add Oil and Boiling Water to bowl and stir well
When cool enough to handle ( it will be hot for a couple of minutes) , knead on a piece of Wax Paper until color is fully incorporated

Now you have bright colorful play dough that smells good too! Pick out several different colors of Kool Aid and make a batch in all colors.   Be sure to store your play dough in an air tight container in the fridge.
